Our story
Why we started
For decades, the local "Dukaan" has been the backbone of our communities. But as the world moved online, many of our local heroes were left behind by complex, expensive, and non-local technologies.
We saw shopkeepers struggling with manual ledgers (Hisaab-Kitaab), managing separate inventories for shop and phone orders, and fighting with payment systems that weren't built for them.
That's what we're building Dukaandar to fix. Not another website builder that hands you a blank page and expects you to work Pakistan out on your own — one place where your storefront, your counter, your stock and your couriers are the same system. Your own store, under your own name, with your customers staying yours.

We watched shop owners run entire businesses out of DMs, screenshots and a khata — and lose sales to it every day. Nothing on the market was built for how retail actually works here.
The Foundation
So we started building what we couldn't find. Cash on delivery, JazzCash, EasyPaisa, TCS, Trax and Movex as part of the product — not as plugins someone else wrote for a market they'd never visited.
Where we are now
Still building. The storefront, the POS, inventory and the Hisaab reports all work. There are bugs. A few things we've had to build twice. That's where we honestly are.
Launch
This year. When the first shop owner takes a real order on Dukaandar, it has to work — that order is real money to them. We'd rather be late than wrong, so we're not giving a date we might miss.
What comes after
Decided partly by the people on the waitlist. We ask what's missing, we read the answers, and the roadmap moves. That's easier to do now than it will ever be again.
